Ishq truly was a crazy, and wacky romantic comedy. The film stands out mainly due to the amazing cast assembled by Indra Kumar, substitute any of them from the film and we don’t think it’ll have the same impact. Kajol’s character was rather simple and subtle compared to the rest of the crew however, she played her part just as well as anybody else in the film.
14. Kajol Movie - Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya 1998
With Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya, Kajol was paired opposite Salman Khan on the big screen. The story is pretty simple and old. Rich boy meets poor girl, they fall in love, parental opposition but ultimately love triumphs. Kajol plays the character of your girl next door convincingly and Salman too came to everyone’s attention with his performance in the film. The song
O O Jaan Jaana from the
Kajol movie became extremely popular and is loved even today.
15. Kajol Movie - Dushman
Dushman was a psychological thriller that starred Kajol, Sanjay Dutt and Ashutosh Rana in leading roles. Though revenge plots are nothing new to Bollywood, this one is different because it does not show a gun-wielding hero stand up to save his family. 17. Kajol Movie - Kuch Kuch Hota Hai
Another
Shah Rukh - Kajol love story and another classic. This movie was a landmark film, in terms of Bollywood cinema. Yes, it is a melodramatic film, full of colorful song and dance numbers and some over the top scenes but it also is so much more than your average Hindi film.
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is the kind of film you never get bored of watching. The Kajol movie shows us the deep bond that Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan) and Anjali (Kajol) share as friends. Later, Tina (Rani Mukerji) enters the college and it is love at first sight for Rahul. Anjali realizing that Rahul sees her nothing more than a friend decides to take a back step and moves away from his life. Years later, fate brings the two of them back together and Rahul realizes that she was his true love all along.
Kajol goes through an amazing character transformation in the film. In her college, she’s seen as the cool tomboy who’s not interested in typical “girly” things. Towards the second half, she becomes a more mature woman. She pulls off both the phases of her character with ease. You can watch this film just because of the sizzling chemistry that Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol share on the big screen. Their scenes together are just pure magic.
18. Kajol Movie - Dil Kya Kare 1999
The film
Dil Kya Kare was a story that starts and ends with a tragedy. It is the way,
Prakash Jha’s portrays his characters in the story and explains the dilemmas they have that help make the film what it is. Kajol delivered yet another riveting performance with the film contrary to her usual headstrong, vibrant characters that people were used to seeing her in at the time. She is unusually inhibited and subdued and plays the role with subtlety, sincerity, and depth that make the viewers really sympathize with her character.
19. Kajol Movie - Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain
While the plot of the film was fresh and intriguing, the poorly written script and snail-paced screenplay lead to its downfall. The two leads of the film Anil Kapoor and Kajol do their bit but are not able to make up for the rest of the flaws in the film. Filled with hackneyed cliches, cringe-worthy dialogue, Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain turned out to be a real disappointment.

However, during their stay there, they realize that their parents are still in love with each other. So, these twin sisters decide to take the challenge of getting them back together.
Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham is probably as Indian as any movie gets. In the movie, we saw Amitabh Bachchan play a patriarch and Shah Rukh Khan was his loyal son. The movie saw Hrithik Roshan as the younger one trying to stitch the family back together and Jaya as the mother is torn between the ego of the men in her life. The megastar cast along with Karan Johar’s directorial brilliance made this film fun to watch over and over without losing any interest. It is a well-known fact that Indians love drama and this movie was full of it.

24. Kajol Movie - Fanaa 2006
After
Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham , Kajol decided to take a break from the world films and decided to give her everything to parenthood. 5 years later she returned as a leading lady with Kunal Kohli’s romantic drama
Fanaa. The word Fanaa in chaste Hindi means annihilated or destroyed. Kajol plays a blind Kashmiri women Zooni Ali Beg, who visits Delhi and ends up falling for her guide Rehan Quadri (Aamir Khan). Even her parents agree to the marriage and in a sudden turn of events Rehan is killed in a terrorist bomb blast, or so we are led to think. Years later, a Major Ranjeev, bearing a disturbing resemblance to the dead Rehan, shows up and from this point on the film just feels completely different. Notions of love, loyalty, betrayal, patriotism, and morality get turned on their head are portrayed beautifully in completely engage the viewer in this Kajol movie. The stunning performance by the lead cast takes this film to a whole other level. Kajol is convincing in portraying her character arc from naive young girl to a conflicted wife. And if anything that breaks only helped her mature more as a character which was pretty evident in the film.
25. Kajol Movie - U Me Aur Hum 2008
Ajay Devgn’s directorial debut U Me Aur Hum was a sensitive and emotional love story of a married couple. The story is about the wife suffering from Alzheimer's disease and how the family and friends around, face this truth with love and courage. While the film had potential, it felt too dragged out which made the viewers lose interest after a point of time. Kajol had many phases of her character to portray on the big screen like a young waitress, mother, and wife. She slips into all shades of her character with such ease and elegance.
26. Kajol Movie - My Name Is Khan 2010
My Name Is Khan is regarded as Karan Johar’s most accomplished work to date as it was powerful, moving and involving. At times, it really didn’t feel like a Karan Johar film as he did away with all the glitz and glamour that we’re used to seeing. The film is traditionally a love story more than anything else, but the ever-relevant message behind it is wonderfully conveyed through such terms as innocence and guilt, kindness and inhumanity, truth and untruth, justice and injustice, love and hate. All these antonyms come together to portray a beautiful story. Kajol played the wife of Rizwan Khan (Shah Rukh Khan) who suffers a lot of mental harassment due to the religious origins of her husband. As Mandira, she looks incredibly beautiful and is as natural, intense and compelling as ever, playing the part with passion and depth and infusing it with energy and warmth.
27. Kajol Movie - We Are Family
We Are Family had a storyline that was rather rare in Bollywood. The film is about a divorced couple, played by Arjun Rampal & Kajol respectively, their 3 kids and their would-be Stepmom, played by Kareena Kapoor Khan. While the film starts off on a good note, it loses the punch somewhere midway. All the cast puts in a better performance but a tighter screenplay would’ve done the film a world of good.

Dilwale was no exception. The film was also a reunion for Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol on. Screen after five years. Along with

The audience was given a nostalgic joy ride watching the two romance on the big screen once again. Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, the film went on to be a major hit at the box-office. An unadulterated crowd-pleaser, Dilwale delivers what you expect from a Rohit Shetty film: King-sized entertainment.
29. Kajol Movie - Helicopter Eela 2018
The abundance of Love coming from parents can sometimes be smothering and we see just that in the
film Helicopter Eela. The film is a story of a single mother who has dumped her dreams, aspirations & fear of an only child, with her desires on back-burner. The title is a play on the fact that how this mother is hovering over her son 24x7. Kajol carries the film completely on her shoulders and excels in her performance as the overly hands-on mother. She is successful in depicting the emotions of her character which helps the audience connect and feel the same.
