At the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the athlete finished seventh in the 100 meter hurdles, although starting as favorite after being the 2008 Olympic Trials Champion. She competed also in the 2012 Olympic Games in London, were she placed fourth in 100m hurdles. After missing the Olympic title in 2008, Lolo Jones also started practicing bobsled, and in 2014 she was part of the American team who participated at the Sochi Olympics, finishing 11th in the Women’s Bobsled.
Besides her career in sports, Lolo has been focusing on building her image, especially for marketing purposes, being considered by the media the Anna Kournikova of her sport, more focused on publicity than on her professional career. In fact, the athlete has dropped the media’s attention on several occasions and became a “celebrity” through her statements about her virginity and the impossibility of dating. She also posed semi-nude for the ESPN’s Body Issue, in 2009, and appeared on the cover of Outside magazine wearing some well-placed ribbons in 2012. In 2014, she was a cast member in the 19th season of the television show “Dancing with the Stars”.
