Best MUT Core Elite cards in Madden 24: Best QB, HB, WR and defensive players in Madden Ultimate Tea

With one week to go before the launch of Madden 24, EA Sports began to release the ratings for the top Core Elite cards in MUT. Here’s a breakdown of all the top cards at each position.

At the start of the Madden season, much of the Madden Ultimate Team (MUT) player base will make use of Core Elites, which are virtually the base player items in MUT.

The early game meta will be defined by the first promos and Core Elites. And, Core Elites can be used for other tasks in Madden, like for Sets or just be quick sold for in-game currency.

With Madden 24 on the horizon, EA Sports has begun to release player ratings for the best Core Elites. Here’s a look at the Core Elite we know of thus far.

Best MUT Core Elite quarterbacks in Madden 24

We’ll start with the highest-rated Core Elite quarterbacks in Madden 24:

Reigning Super Bowl champion Patrick Mahomes grabbed the top spot among Core Elite QBs. Madden 24 cover star Josh Allen and Joe Burrow round out the top three.

Best MUT Core Elite halfbacks in Madden 24

Here’s the highest-rated Core Elite halfbacks:

The top dog among running backs (halfbacks) is Christian McCaffrey, as his Core Elite will sport an 86 OVR in MUT.

Best MUT Core Elite wide receivers in Madden 24

Now, a look at the best Core Elite wide receivers:

Tyreek Hill is the top MUT Core Elite receiver, with Justin Jefferson right behind the Dolphins star. Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs rounds out the top three.

Best MUT Core Elite tight ends in Madden 24

These are the highest-rated Core Elite tight ends in Madden 24:

Travis Kelce is the top target for Patrick Mahomes, and the top tight end among Core Elites in MUT 24. George Kittle and Mark Andrews round out the top three.

Here’s a look at the best Core Elite offensive linemen in Madden 24:

A strong offensive line is key to having success on offense. The Eagles and Chiefs — the two teams that went to the Super Bowl this past February — each have two offensive linemen on this list. Centers Jason Kelce (Eagles) and Creed Humphrey (Chiefs) are the top two offensive linemen, while Browns guard Joel Bitonio rounds out the top three.

These are the highest-rated Core Elite defensive ends in Madden 24:

Rams star and 99 Club member Aaron Donald is the top defensive end Core Elite in MUT 24. Myles Garrett and Nick Bosa round out the top three.

49ers standout Fred Warner is the highest-rated inside linebacker on this list. Lavonte David and Demario Davis, meanwhile, each come in at 85 OVR.

Jalen Ramsey of the Miami Dolphins is the top-rated Core Elite cornerback in Madden 24. Darius Slay Jr., Marlon Humphrey, and youngsters Tariq Woolen and Sauce Gardner are among notable names that are also in the top ten.

Let’s take a look at the best Core Elite free safeties:

Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick is the top-rated free safety in MUT. Justin Simmons and Tyrann Mathieu round out the top three.

Best MUT Core Elite strong safeties in Madden 24

Now, for the highest-rated strong safety Core Elites in Madden 24:

Derwin James Jr. of the Chargers is the highest-rated safety, but at 85 OVR, he tied with C.J. Gardner-Johnson and Kyle Dugger for the best overall among Core Elite strong safeties.
